Mission Portland has identified
Serving Our Neighbors as a
Prayer
Strategy to serve the Church of Portland at local, regional and city-wide levels.
Serving Our Neighbors (S.O.N.) is a network of various
neighborhood, church, ministry
and business leaders throughout the Greater Portland, Oregon / Vancouver, Washington
Metropolitan area (roughly 25 miles from downtown Portland) who are committed to
mobilizing the Body of Christ to witness to our community with a united
balanced strategy of Prayer
and Service.
The Mission of S.O.N. is to:
 | Provide Models
(Lighthouses of
Prayer & Lighthouses
of Service) for you to utilize in your home, church, ministry and/or
business. |
| Provide Networks
of identified the lines of communication within like-minded neighborhoods,
churches, ministries
and businesses
of the Greater Portland / Vancouver Metropolitan area. |
| Provide Resources
(books, tapes, web sites, speakers
and events) on prayer
& service. |
| Provide News &
Updates (recent
media coverage, letters
to Leaders, web
site updates) for you to know the history and the latest developments of
S.O.N. |
| Provide Partnerships
between key individuals, churches, ministries and businesses that are
supporting the Body of Christ through the development of S.O.N. throughout
the Greater Portland / Vancouver Metropolitan area. |
