Obtaining Christian
Voter Guides
The sooner you get them into the hands of your
congregation, the better.
If you do not have Christian voter guides, I highly recommend
you go to
www.restoreamerica.org immediately and click on "Church
and Pastor Resources" on the left column. It will open up to a sub
menu underneath (scroll down until you see it) with several menu items from
which to choose. Click on "Voter Guides". When that opens
you will see several options from which to choose.
Call Oregon Family Council (503-257-0444)
to see if they have you on their list to deliver voter guides. If they do
not, ask them to send them to you for your church or personal use.
Call PEAPAC (503-656-9444)
for their biblically based voter guide on the initiatives that gives scriptural foundations for the position they take on each initiative. I would
go to their site first to see for yourself.
Call Christian Coalition for their
voter guide. Their number is 503-557-0668 or 888-839-1179 tollfree.
Share Them With The Community
You may order more to use as an 'outreach'
to your community. Many have never seen a Christian voter guide, and would
like to know where the candidates stand on the issues. Compliments of your
church, along with a letter or note from you encouraging good citizenship.
State Voter Pamphlets
Most people would
prefer a shorter more concise voter guide. Although
many do not attend church, they do believe God exists and would vote for
suitable
candidates if they just knew who they were. A Christian voter guide becomes
a great tool for those folks.
ACTION!
Please forward this call to responsible
self government to as many other pastors and believing Christians in
Oregon as possible. The outcome of
each
election is in the hands of the Christian Community in Oregon.
If we vote in significantly larger numbers than in the past, Oregon will
take a turn back toward more conservative and Biblical values. If we do
not, Oregon will continue to be disserved by community Christians, with less
light and more darkness manifested in our laws and public policy.
Do all you can to mobilize the efforts
of ALL your people to put out the call to all those on their email
lists, far and wide, to VOTE, and to vote wisely.
An email and family phone-call campaign is in order
to turn out every Christian who is registered to vote.
If we do that, we begin the process of changing the state and...God WILL
honor our faithfulness. He will make manifest the fruit of our labors
and give us a greater vineyard within which to productively labor.
Prayer
Pastors, ask your congregation to pray that the spirit of
darkness that has prevailed over this state politically and governmentally
for far too long would be lifted, broken, and that God's people would have
the veil that they have unwittingly embraced, removed from their eyes about
our responsibility to vote. It is time for the church triumphant to stand
upright and live like men and women of God, asserting our rights as children
of God to stand for and uphold the virtuous liberty our Saviour won for us
at the Cross. Ask that it be manifested in a renewed commitment to self
government, personally, and in civil government through our votes.
Let the awakening continue and
the revival of God's people become manifest in Oregon's spiritual
life and in civil government!
Together, through prayer, repentance, and the ballot box, we
CAN Restore America as
a nation under God.
